At a Loss
We are going to war and all some people can do is run over Dixie Chicks cd's. What a load of crap.

And I want nothing more than to just shake everything and everyone. Was this Administration ever working towards peace?

If anyone out there is to be fooled by being drunk on war-mongering pseudo patritoism, please remember:

1.They will do everything in their power to keep themselves rich and rewarded.

2. They wil do so while passing through legislation that is not only sickening and nasty, it is dangerous to people's lives.

3. They do not love, support,or encourage the following folks to thrive and be healthy: GLBT folks, women, immigrants, folks on welfare, artists, people of color, those who rely on state funding, children and even the folks in the military.

4. Their records are clear and documented. It should be no surprise that these are super-capitalists who are seeking oil. That they are not pro-education of the young and that they will use religion, calls of lack of patriotism, accusations of being Un-American, etc. as it suits them and without hesitation or critical thought.

So how the hell are we supposed to blindly get behind that? How can we say we support you when you stand for so much that is wrong and your investment in your power is so lust-filled that we could never compete. You have bled the states dry of funds with unsound plans of cutting taxes and expecting that to jumpstart the economy.

And stil people are following this administration and the president-select like lemmings. Do people really think we have to show unwavering support for someone just because they have an elected office? Is that serious? Are they crazy?

I know it sounds so simple, but I just can't get there. How could people think this way?

These are people in my building, in my office, in my neighborhood, and even one or two in my family.

Was I this supportive of Clinton? Hell, no. The man did some great things, and I really believed in many of his policies, but I could not support his stand on Welfare and his backtracking on gay rights. Nor his dumping of Lani Guinier or his dirty little caddish lies. So we pick and choose, but I swear these folks don't give that a thought.

Maybe the left needs to try blind trust in folks? Just supporting leaders because that is there job, but not because they do it well?

I am at a loss here. Help me out?

Oh, and go read this.
