12:19 pm - July 27, 2004 This, because she is speaking out against the most virulently anti-gay President and Administration we have ever seen. These are the people that endorsed Alfonse D'Amato, the people who for years pursued strategies not based on the needs of grassroots activists in the states, but based on their idea of what needed to be happening at the national level. The people who pushed through an ill-conceived Millenium March who later thought that the community was worth consulting. BOO! I have no doubt that HRC does some valuable work, but to silence a social critic who lambasts BushCo for their oppressive, misogynistic, and hateful agenda is an insane use of their power. Boo. And congrats to NGLTF for pulling out of the HRC event. I will be making a donation.
